CUSTOMER NOTICE: Please read our update on our current situation here.

Please note that due to a national Vet shortage, we have amended our practice opening hours.

With immediate effect we are now open Monday - Thursday 9am - 6:30pm.

A physical Veterinary Surgeon may not always be available in practice. In this instance Valentine's Vets (Castleton) 01706 521 117 and Heywood Veterinary Centre 01706 369 171 , who are both part of VetPartners, may be able to provide some assistance.

For repeat medication orders, we advise you place your order in advance to allow plenty of time for processing. Armac Pets A&E (24/7) 0161 764 4619 will continue to provide out of hours emergency care.

Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Jackson and Nuttall are a long-established veterinary practice based in Middleton, Manchester.  We specialise in providing top-quality veterinary care to small animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits and small furries (for example hamsters and gerbils).

We care for a number of clients’ pets in Manchester, but we know no two pets are the same. That’s why we treat each pet as an individual and will tailor requirements to suit the needs of your pet.

New clients

If you’ve not visited us before, not to worry! Please contact us to discuss your pets’ requirements and we can book an appropriate appointment.

If you’re looking for a second opinion on a veterinary condition, please let us know at the time of booking an appointment with us.  We will need to see the notes for your pet’s veterinary history from your previous vet practice before we can see your pet.  If you are looking to change vet practice and register with us, we will still need to see the previous notes to help us understand your pets medical background.

What we offer

We offer a range of services for general veterinary care, including vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, and neutering.  We are proud to have four vets who work at our practice in Middleton who can support with all your small animal veterinary needs.

Emergency care

During consulting hours, we can see emergency cases.  Outside of our regular consulting hours, we have partnered with Armac Pets A&E, who have supported Jackson and Nuttall vets for many years.  Please see our Emergency care page for more information.

Overnight care

At Jackson and Nuttall vets, we do not keep any pets in overnight.  If your pet requires hospitalisation, they will be referred to our out of hours provider. We will always discuss all aspects of care with you beforehand.

At Jackson and Nuttall Vets we support the recent introduction of licensing of dog breeders.

Rochdale Council have outlined the dog breeding licensing changes – to ensure you are not breaking the law with breeding please refer to their documents online.

We look forward to welcoming you and your pet to Jackson and Nuttall in Middleton soon!
