Jackson and Nuttall veterinary practice was founded by Alec Jackson and Kathryn Nuttall in 1983, so we have many years’ experience and are well established in the Middleton area of Manchester.
Over the years, we have seen many changes, including at our own practice, as originally, we were a mixed practice looking after a much broader range of animals, whereas now we focus completely on small animals, such as cats and dogs.
Alec sadly left the practice in May 2019 to take much-deserved retirement, however Kathryn is still here providing over 30 years’ experience in outstanding veterinary care. Kathryn is joined by other long-standing team members at Jackson and Nuttall, consisting of another three veterinary surgeons (with combined experience of over 30 years), and four qualified veterinary nurses, some of whom have been with the practice over 15 years.
The Jackson and Nuttall team is completed with a further seven team members to support all our clients and their pets.

We have been based at 171 Manchester New Road for almost 40 years and are proud to have built an outstanding reputation in that time with the pet owners of Middleton. We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of service for every pet we treat, and our clients regularly give us positive feedback as they are so pleased with the way we care for their pets. At Jackson and Nuttall, we understand that pets are a member of the family, and we treat them with the same level of care and attention we would our own animals.
